An easy dinner option that the kids will love.

Who doesn’t like pizza…..? I’m sure most of you reading this love pizza’s. And if you don’t, your kiddies will.

This is a super simple allergy friendly pizza base. It only takes around 5-10mins for the base and is gluten free, dairy free, egg free, vegan and soy free. And another 10mins once the toppings have been added.  So quick and easy when you are short on time or if your kiddies are hanging around you wanting dinner ASAP.  Its quicker (and healthier) than ordering pizza for delivery! I have made this pizza base with chickpea (besan) flour. A flour I use weekly, if not daily (particularly for egg free fritters/pancakes). I find it very versatile and very handy when you are avoiding eggs (or have run out).  Its also full of protein and fibre

For the base you just have to mix the ingredients and add to a pan, cook like a pancake and add your toppings of choice.

Its also a fun recipe to make with the kids – I know Stella enjoyed making it. They can also have fun choosing their own toppings and adding these to the pizza themselves. Or if you would like to hide a few veggies you can add these first. You can add grated veggie such as zucchini or carrot first and then cover with the remaining ingredients if your child is a fussy eater.

You can also experiment with adding veggies to the base ie cauliflower rice or grated zucchini. Although please note, you will need to squeeze out the excess water and may have to adjust cooking time slightly.

Experiment with various toppings – also a great way to use up veggies in the fridge.  As long as you have chickpea flour, I’m sure most of the other ingredients will already be in your pantry.

You can also make this pizza for a quick afternoon snack, add to lunch boxes or a lazy quick and easy dinner – a great Friday night option.  I’ve also made this base for myself and I love it.  Its a great thin pizza base – I find that a lot of the store bought gluten free pizza bases are too thick and I often try and cut them in half.

As always, if you do try this recipe I love seeing your creations so please share it with me on Instagram and Facebook to help grow this community.  Additionally, if you would like to subscribe to my recipe blog, you can sign up below.

I hope you love this pizza base as much as Stella and I did!
