You know I'm a sucker for anything citrus so here is another tasty Lemon recipe. A perfect grab-and-go snack and a great lunchbox option for the kids.

Our tree is still bursting with lemons so I thought I’d create another recipe full of lemon-y goodness.

These bliss balls make the perfect healthy and tasty snack. They are free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar and are also low carb. This delicious recipe combines two of my favourite ingredients – a tasty blend of creamy coconut and zesty lemon and coconut. These Bliss Balls are a super simple easy to make no bake recipe. It literally involves placing all ingredients into a blender and rolling them into balls – Easy peasy!!


These raw bliss balls are such a good snack to have on hand. Especially when you are super busy and don’t have time to make a healthy snack and a great alternative to store-bought processed snacks. They are also a great edition to a kids lunchbox. Stella adores these and also enjoys making them with me. She loves helping me roll them into balls. The only difficult part is ensuring she’s not eating as she goes (but same applies to me too….).

I also added doTERRA lemon essential oil to these bliss balls. This addition is optional but it really takes the flavour to the next level – really amplifying the lemon-y goodness!

The lemon bliss balls freeze well, making them even easier to grab and go – that’s if you manage to keep some aside for the freezer. I actually like them straight from the freezer too. A perfect grab-and-go snack.

  • 1/2 c cashews
  • 1/2 c almonds
  • 5x dates (soaked for 10mins)
  • 1/2 c + 2T unsweetened coconut
  • Zest & juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 t pure vanilla extract
  • 12x drops of doTERRA lemon essential oil (optional)
  • 1 T maple syrup (optional – depends how sweet you like them)
  • Extra coconut for rolling



  1. Add cashew and almonds to a blender and mix
  2. Add coconut to blender
  3. Add remaining ingredients to the blender
  4. Roll in balls (I made 16 balls)
  5. Roll in coconut to cover

Notes: *Use organic ingredients when possible. *Use activated nuts if possible. *I used a Vitamix blender but any good blender would work. *The doTERRA lemon essential oil is optional but takes the lemon-y goodness to the next level. It really amplify’s the flavour. *I included an option to add malple syrup.  I do not add maple syrup but if you like your bliss balls slightly sweeter, you may want to add this to the recipe. *You can store the bliss balls in the fridge for up to 5 days or they can be frozen for up to 3 months.
