Raw Bounty Bar
Tasty, creamy and coconut-y goodness covered in homemade raw chocolate. A tasty and healthy treat - perfect to indulge yourselves!!
I know I’ve mentioned it numerous times before but I LOVE coconut. I use it in so many of my recipes and I don’t know what my life would be like without my coconut!! I’m sure I have it on a daily basis – both in savoury and sweet dishes. Stella is also taking after me and always gets the thredded coconut out of the pantry and as a result loves my coconut treats I make.
I grew up eating the sugar filled, processed Bounty Bars and decided that I’d recreate a healthier version of these – I do love recreating healthier versions of popular treats. This recipe also ticks all the right boxes – gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free, egg free and of course super tasty! Read More
Banana Oat Cookies
Super simple and healthy Oat Cookies that the kids will enjoy making and eating.
Now firstly I want to point out that this recipe is NOT Gluten Free. Whilst I am Coeliac and most of the food eaten in our household is Gluten Free, Stella still has oats for brekkie in her Porridge and Bircher. As a result of this, I know she loves them so I thought why not make her a cookie that is healthy enough for her to snack on all day long. However, I have included a gluten free option as well.
I only wish that I could eat oats. Oats are one of the most nutritious grains. They are a great source of vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. They have a low glycemic index, maintaining blood glucose levels keeping you fuller for longer. Whilst most people who are gluten intolerant are fine with Oats, I would recommend that Coeliacs steer clear of them. Many Coeliacs do not react to oats in terms of feeling any physical symptoms however irreversible damage can still occur, in other words they can be toxic to people with Coeliac disease. Read More

Just like the traditional crumble but without the sugar, butter and white flour – a healthier but still very tasty alternative. Read More
Salted Caramel and Buckwheat slice
A decadent chocolate, buckwheat and coconut base with a salted caramel layer on top - a tasty and simple treat the whole family will enjoy yet full of nutrient dense ingredients.
I always love experimenting with raw slices and I love coconut, chocolate and caramel. So why not combine all three which go together so well. I created this decadent recipe and also included some very nutrient dense ingredients to boost the appeal even more.
The inclusion of activated Buckwheat means that this recipe is bursting with nutritional benefits. Buckwheat is a gluten free wholegrain and with the increased awareness of gluten free diets, this powerful wholegrain is becoming a very popular ingredient in gluten free recipes and used in many interesting ways. You will find that I often include Buckwheat in a lot of my recipes especially my healthy refined sugar free (RSF) sweet treats.
An easy overnight Bircher recipe, perfect for the warmer months.
I have a couple of go to breakfast options in the morning and this is definitely one of them especially on those days when I don’t have much time in the morning. It only requires a small amount of preparation the night before and its good to go in the morning topped with your choice of fresh fruit.
This recipe is a great combination of plant based protein, essential fats and complex carbohydrates which are slowly digested keeping you fuller for longer. The soaking of the ingredients also means it is much easier to digest helping to increase nutrient absorption. Much better than a store brought cereal for breakfast which is often full of added sugar and refined carbohydrates with minimal nutrients.
Easy Berry Smoothie
An easy snack or breakfast on-the-go when you are short on time.
I always love to whip up a smoothie when I’m short of time or on the go. And Berry smoothies are definitely my ‘go to.’
This creamy berry smoothie is so quick and easy and super tasty.
You can use fresh of frozen berries. I usually use frozen berries. Frozen berries also result in a much thicker smoothie which I like.
